EIGHT in ten workers are no good at their jobs, a survey reveals.
But many don't realise - and nor do bosses, because they avoid making any huge blunders.
The three-year study looked at 40,000 employees in workplaces ranging from banks, to shops and call centres.
Almost four in ten skilled staff are hopeless, despite being the most confident in their abilities.
The research by job experts Cognisco tested whether all staff reached a basic level to do their job. Only 18 per cent did.
The firm said: "It's the confident mistake-makers who give most concern.
"These are the people who mis-sell insurance, misinform customers - or even put lives at risk."
